Satisfied, but vigilant
It's a done deal! Europe of Culture has demonstrated its power and determination to the Internet giants: the European Copyright Directive was finally adopted, promising an improved level of protection and remuneration for authors’ rights on the internet. This is a historic victory which should be enjoyed, but not taken for granted, because this important legislation must now be transposed into French law as quickly as possible to avoid any deviation.
Putting culture at he heart of Europe
Europe has been at the centre of our operations for the last two years in the unprecedented battle to secure the future of our treasured authors’ rights. It ended with victory in March, with the vote on the Copyright Directive by Parliament.
The end of an injustice
AUTHORS’ RIGHTS. Through perseverance, and in the face of an unprecedented lobbying campaign, the creative world has obtained the European Union's recognition of its rights regarding creative content used by Internet sharing platforms. These developments will have very real consequences for all creators, especially as music is the most downloaded online content. Next step: the transposition of the directive into French law.

If there is one word which readily falls from the lips of the Swiss-Italian composer, Oscar Bianchi, and is even more forcibly expressed in his music, it is "clarity". Whatever artistic colour his works take, they all share the same striking qualities: transparency, a sharpness of contours, intense activity, energy and virtuosity.
