This prize rewards a debut French film, to boost its recognition, promotion and exportation.

This year, the jury, chaired by Jean-Guillaume d’Ornano and made up of English-language journalists, awarded the prize to Les Cowboys, a film directed by Thomas Bidegain.

On Saturday 12 September at the awards ceremony for the American Film Festival in Deauville, the film’s crew received the prize officially from Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman of MPAA, and Jean-Noël Tronc, Director General of Sacem and President of FACF.

In April 2016, the film will be in the selection for COLCOA, French Film Festival in Los Angeles, founded and organised by FACF.
